AN EXTRAORDINARY MEETING of the AWARDS, GRANTS AND TRANSPORT (APPEALS) COMMITTEE was held at the CIVIC OFFICE, DONCASTER on TUESDAY, 25TH MARCH, 2013 at 10.00 A.M.

Apologies were received from the Vice-Chair, Councillor Sandra Holland and Tracey Leyland-Jepson.
1. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST
There were no declarations of interest made at the meeting.
2. EXCLUSION OF PUBLIC AND PRESS
RESOLVED that the public and press be excluded from the meeting in accordance with Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act, 1972, as amended, on the grounds that exempt information as defined in paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12(A) of the Act, was likely to be disclosed.
3. APPLICATIONS FOR TRANSPORT
ASSISTANCE
The Committee considered Appeals in relation
to transport assistance.
RESOLVED that
A. Application Case No. 1161, be granted on a temporary basis for 2 years (until the end of July 2014/15 academic year) and the case to be reviewed by the Committee in 2014/15.
B. Application Case No. 1165, be refused.
Under consideration of Application Case No. 1165, a letter from Swinton Community School was tabled at the meeting for Members’ information.
